Introduction

Below you’ll find information on how to get started with Domainwarden and begin monitoring your domains.

Domains

Domains are the heart of Domainwarden. When you create your account, you’ll receive a free 14-day trial with no credit card required. This gives you access to Domainwarden’s features to test the service. After creating your account, add your first domain to begin monitoring.

Adding Your First Domain

To add your first domain, you’ll need two pieces of information:
  • The domain you want to monitor
  • A label to identify it
You can also configure check frequency and add a description.
Once created, Domainwarden queues your domain for its first check. This usually takes a few minutes. Results appear on the domain’s overview page.
For more information about domains, notifications, and monitoring, see the Overview page.

What Domainwarden Monitors

Domainwarden focuses exclusively on monitoring domains and their core components:
  • DNS - Domain Name System records
  • WHOIS - Domain details, expiration dates, and registration information
  • SSL - Certificate status and validity
We do not monitor:
  • Website, app, or software content hosted on your domain
  • Uptime or accessibility of your services
  • Performance or health metrics of your applications
Domainwarden monitors the domain itself and its essential configuration (DNS, WHOIS, and SSL).
